The LGBTQ+ Section election ended on April 30. A runoff election is needed to determine the member at-large on the LGBTQ+ Section Governing Council.

Your powerful ally

The AMA helps physicians build a better future for medicine, advocating in the courts and on the Hill to remove obstacles to patient care and confront today’s greatest health crises.

Members are invited to vote in the runoff election, May 7-15, 2026.

A link to the ballot will be sent on May 7 to all LGBTQ+ Section members for whom AMA has an email address on file. Please note that ballot links are personalized to each member and cannot be shared with others.

If you do not receive your ballot link by the end of the day on May 7, please check your email spam/junk/social folders and other email accounts you may have used with AMA. If you cannot locate the email with your ballot link, complete this form to request that your ballot be resent to you.

Election results will be announced in after the close of the runoff election. For questions about the election, contact the LGBTQ+ Section at [email protected].
