Presentation proposals

You are invited to submit a proposal to share a 10-minute presentation highlighting your organization’s experience addressing a unique challenge from the past year. Submit your proposal by Feb. 1.

Proposal guidelines

Share your organization’s experience in addressing a unique challenge from the past year. Your proposal should address the following key areas:

  • Challenge: What specific and unique challenge did your organization face?
  • Response: How did your organization address and manage this challenge?
  • Impact: What measurable or observed outcomes resulted from your efforts?
  • Future implications: How has this experience informed your organization’s strategies or practices moving forward?
  • Key learnings: What insights or actionable lessons can other health systems apply to their own challenges?
Learning format

This peer-to-peer learning session fosters meaningful dialogue among health system leaders. Each selected presenter will deliver a 10-minute presentation, followed by a 20-minute full-group discussion to explore actionable takeaways.

Extend the reach of your presentation

AMA media staff writers will attend the summit to highlight key presentations in AMA media, offering an opportunity to showcase your organization’s achievements to a broader audience. For confidential topics, writers will fully respect your privacy preferences. Additionally, presentation proposals not selected for the summit may still be considered for other platforms, such as Insight Network monthly virtual sessions, Integrated Physician Practice Section (IPPS) meetings, and more.

Topics of interest

While all proposals that highlight unique challenges and innovative solutions are welcome, we are particularly interested in submissions that speak to the following areas of focus:

Topics aligned with the IPPS top policy priorities, such as:

  • Promoting sustainable payment models: Proposals that explore approaches to strengthening prospective payment methodologies, improving financial stability for health systems, or elevating physician perspectives in the development and refinement of risk adjustment policies.
  • Ensuring quality health outcomes: Presentations that address the creation or implementation of equitable quality measures, efforts to mitigate social drivers of health, strategies to improve access, or innovative use of acute care at home models to support patient-centered care.
  • Securing the future of the physician workforce: Strategies to broaden workforce diversity, reduce burnout and administrative burden, encourage careers in primary care, or enhance policies and programs aimed at protecting physicians’ wellbeing and safety.
  • Leveraging AI and new technologies: Examples of practical AI integration, tools or workflows that meaningfully improve productivity, implementation lessons learned, or approaches to fostering responsible, physician-led innovation in clinical and operational settings.

Topics of additional interest:

  • Proposals that expand on emerging trends, demonstrate creative problem-solving, or offer replicable strategies that can benefit physician leaders and health system partners across diverse practice settings.
Selection process

This year’s summit lead and associate lead, Drs. David Burmeister and Suzanne Fox, will review all proposals and select approximately eight for presentation.

We encourage you to share your story and help guide other leaders as they navigate the complexities of today’s health care landscape.
