In these reports, the Council on Medical Education examines the extent to which the current processes for accreditation are designed to facilitate an ideal medical education continuum. These reports focus on accreditation of undergraduate medical education (education leading to the MD or DO degree), graduate medical education (residency training) and continuing medical education (throughout the practice of medicine).
