The Council on Constitution and Bylaws (CCB) is comprised of eight active AMA members, one who is a resident/fellow physician, and one who is a medical student. Members of this council are elected by the House of Delegates (HOD) with the exception of the medical student member who is appointed by the Medical Student Section Governing Council with the concurrence of the Board of Trustees. In addition, the speaker and vice speaker of the HOD are ex officio members of CCB without the right to vote.
