AMA names Christy Loebach as chief financial officer

CHICAGO – The American Medical Association (AMA) appointed Christy Loebach, MBA, as its next chief financial officer. Loebach will oversee all financial operations for the nation’s largest physician organization where she will guide strategic planning, strengthen financial discipline, and partner with leadership to support the AMA’s long-term growth. She will assume this role on March 2, 2026.

“Christy is a seasoned financial leader with more than 25 years of experience driving financial strategy, transformation, and operational excellence across multiple industries,” said AMA Chief Executive Officer John Whyte, MD, MPH. “Her proven business record and strong financial background are ideally suited to support AMA operations and deliver impact.”

Loebach joins the AMA from O’Hara’s Son Roofing Company in Chicago where she served as chief financial and transformation officer. In this capacity, she led financial and organizational transformation initiatives, enhancing financial discipline and supporting growth priorities for one of the largest commercial roofing companies nationally.

On her appointment, Loebach said, “I am honored to join the AMA at this pivotal moment in health care.  I look forward to working with Dr. Whyte and the AMA leadership team to strengthen the AMA’s financial foundation, support its mission, and ensure we are well positioned to serve physicians and patients for years to come.”

Previously, Loebach served as chief financial officer for C&W Services, the over $1 billion facility services division of Cushman & Wakefield, a global commercial real estate firm, where she helped drive financial strategy and performance. Earlier in her career, she held finance roles at Mondelēz International, Kraft Foods, Deloitte, KPMG, and Arthur Andersen.

Loebach earned her MBA from Emory University in Atlanta and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
