AMA AI Specialty Collaborative
The Augmented Intelligence (AI) Specialty Collaborative brings together 21 medical specialty societies to ensure that physicians help shape the future of AI in health care. Convened by the AMA in 2024, this group works to center the physician perspective in how AI is designed, developed and integrated into clinical practice.
What we do
- Bring together physician leaders across specialties to share insights and collaborate on the future of AI in medicine
- Align and collaborate on policy efforts to guide the responsible use of AI in clinical care
- Support education and literacy so physicians can confidently engage with emerging AI technologies
- Ensure physician input is included in AI development, governance and regulation
- Develop resources and guidance to help physicians, policymakers and developers navigate the evolving AI landscape
