WPS policymaking
Greetings AMAzing WPS! The start of 2026 has been very busy for our section.
The WPS Policymaking Committee has been meeting and drafting resolutions for our section for the 2026 Annual Meeting. Check out the WPS policymaking page for WPS timelines, process and additional details.
Please note these key policymaking dates:
- March 9-13: Online forum for comments and feedback from WPS members for section resolutions.
- March 18-23: WPS membership vote on the section resolutions.
- April 22: Deadline to sign up to join the WPS Handbook Review Committees. These committees develop the formal WPS stance on all A-26 resolutions.
Section collaborations
One of our strategic goals is to increase WPS collaborations with AMA sections, state societies, and AMA delegations. In January the WPS Governing Council met with YPS Chair Alisha Reiss, MD, and in February with AMWA Delegate Neelum Aggarwal, MD. Opportunities to collaborate will be enhanced by upcoming meetings with other section leaders.
WPS GRROWL
The WPS GRROWL (Growing the Representation and Reach of Women Leaders) Committee is actively planning the March 2026 Women’s History Month webinar. This webinar will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at noon Central. Register now!
