Celebrate Diversity Month and National Minority Health Month

"Diversity is being invited to the party; inclusion is being asked to dance." This famous quote, by diversity and inclusion consultant Verna Myers, is apropos for this month of April, which is Celebrate Diversity Month and National Minority Health Month

It is notable that both recognitions occur in the same calendar month. Our AMA recognizes that diversity of our physician and health professionals workforce is more than just the “lexicon of the moment;” it is a key to eradicating health disparities and achieving health equity. Please view the AMA's statement on improving health through DEI
