The AMA medical student representative functions as a liaison between the AMA and the NRMP board

The National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) coordinates the residency match process for applicants and residency programs. The NRMP Board directs the policies and procedures governing the match process, including defining the structure and timing of the match, setting fees, and developing and communicating participant responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Attend two board meetings per year, in October and May, in Washington, D.C.
  • Participate in conference calls and in-person committee meetings, as needed.
  • New members attend an orientation session in June.

Term of service

Two years.
