Medical Student Outreach Program Spring Race to Recruitment

Take a break from the books, get your brackets ready, find your MVP and draft your top leaders to participate in the AMA student leadership Spring Race to Recruitment. 

Students involved in leadership positions with the AMA will be eligible to participate and receive national recognition for their recruitment work. This opportunity for leaders will run January through April.

The regions, schools and individuals selected will receive recognition on the AMA website, an official letter sent to the faculty advisor and recognition at the AMA Annual Meeting in 2024. Learn how to participate and be recognized.

Region Champion

The Region Champions are determined by the region with the highest increase in the percentage of M1 students who join through the AMA Medical Student Outreach Program (MSOP) program from January 1-April 30. 

Exceptional achievements in school recruitment

MSOP will recognize one school each month for their efforts in growing M1 student membership.

Bonus! Recognized schools will be eligible to request additional funding through the Section Involvement Grant program to travel to the AMA Annual Meeting in June.

Leadership, innovation and creativity by individuals

MSOP will recognize individual students for their exemplary leadership; those who stepped up to drive membership forward and encourage collaboration.
