The American Medical Political Action Committee (AMPAC) is the bi-partisan political action committee of the AMA, which exists to help elect medicine-friendly candidates to the U.S. Congress who will fight for the issues most important to physicians, including, but not limited to: Medicare payment reform, medical liability reform, and expanded access to health care for all Americans.
Responsibilities
- Must attend all AMPAC meetings.
- Will serve as the chair of a self-selected student advisory board and coordinate activities.
Terms of service
Two years.
