The American Medical Association (AMA) announced the re-election of Illinois family physician William E. Kobler, M.D., to its 21-member Board of Trustees. Dr. Kobler and other members of the Board were elected by physicians and medical students in Chicago this week during the Annual Meeting of the House of Delegates, the AMA's policy-making body. The mission of the AMA Board of Trustees is to foster the promotion of the art and science of medicine and the betterment of public health.

"I am honored to be re-elected to the AMA Board for another four-year term," said Dr. Kobler. "The AMA Strategic Plan has generated a lot of excitement, and positive changes are occurring as a result. However, there are many challenges yet to be addressed and I am energized to work with the Board and others to solve them."
