New Mexican honored with Medical Lifetime Achievement Award

SAN DIEGO  The American Medical Association (AMA) honored Glenn Randy Marshall, executive director of the New Mexico Medical Society, with the Medical Executive Lifetime Achievement Award for his 44 years of leadership in organized medicine. The award honors a medical association executive who has contributed substantially to the goals and ideals of the medical profession.

“For more than four decades, Randy Marshall has been the steady hand leading the New Mexico Medical Society through legislative battles and regulatory changes,” said AMA President Patrice A. Harris, M.D., M.A. “A respected voice, consistent presence, and fount of knowledge, Marshall has been at the forefront of an evolving health system – in New Mexico and nationally – and has never shied from sharing his learnings or sparing his time for physicians and other executives. It is my pleasure to present him with this award for a lifetime of service.”
