Illinois anesthesiologist elected to AMA Board of Trustees

The American Medical Association (AMA), the nation's largest physician organization, today announced the election of Illinois anesthesiologist William A. McDade, M.D., Ph.D., to its Board of Trustees.

Dr. McDade is currently a professor of anesthesiology and critical care at the University of Chicago and maintains his own clinical practice. He has recently been named Executive Vice President and Chief Academic Officer for the Ochsner Health System in New Orleans. There he will lead undergraduate and graduate medical education activities for the System as well as lead research efforts for its physicians. He will begin his work at Oschner on July 5, 2016.
