AMA honors North Carolina medical executive for lifetime achievement

CHICAGO — The American Medical Association (AMA) honored Robert “Bob” W. Seligson, executive vice president and CEO of the North Carolina Medical Society (NCMS), with the Medical Executive Lifetime Achievement Award for his leadership, commitment and advocacy on behalf of physicians and their patients in North Carolina. The award honors a medical association executive who has contributed substantially to the goals and ideals of the medical profession.

“For more than 25 years Robert Seligson has been a formidable force in North Carolina, working tirelessly on initiatives and policy making that have served patients and physicians in communities across the state,” said AMA Board Chair Russ Kridel, M.D. “His leadership skills have successfully guided positive and meaningful change in North Carolina that have contributed to the goals and ideals of the medical profession.”
