Meet our panelists

Ashley Beecy, MD

Ashley Beecy, MD

Dr. Beecy is a cardiologist and currently the chief artificial intelligence officer at Sutter Health, where she leads the strategic advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) across the health system. In this role she is pivotal in shaping Sutter’s AI strategy, custom development, and ensuring the thoughtful and safe application of AI through AI governance best practices. 

Prior to joining Sutter Health, Dr. Beecy served as the medical director of AI Operations at NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP), where she was a core member of the AI leadership team. She partnered with clinical, administrative and research leaders to drive digital transformation across the enterprise. 

Jennifer Bryan, MD

Jennifer Bryan, MD

Dr. Bryan is a board-certified family physician and nationally recognized health policy leader who brings together clinical excellence, strategic insight and a strong voice for the physician community in Mississippi and beyond. A lifelong Mississippian, she currently practices full-scope family medicine at Flowood Primary Care with Hattiesburg Clinic. 

Dr. Bryan is the immediate past-president of the Mississippi State Medical Association, a member of AMA’s Council on Science and Public Health and a long-standing advocate for physician-led care. In addition, Dr. Bryan founded Quiet Signal Technologies LLC and developed ShimmerFrame™, a patent-pending clinical AI governance platform improving safety and accuracy and reducing liability risk and expense in the clinical AI space. 

Gloria Wu, MD

Gloria Wu, MD

Dr. Wu, a graduate of Harvard University, Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, completed her ophthalmology residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital, and Retina-Vitreous fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, part of Harvard Medical School. 

Dr. Wu is currently the president of the Santa Clara County Medical Association and the co-president of South Bay American Medical Women’s Association. She serves on the AMWA Executive Board and serves on the governing council of AMA's Women Physicians Section. She is also a clinical instructor at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology.
