Anna Heffron, MD, PhD, serves as speaker for the Resident & Fellow Section Governing Council and as sectional delegate for the RFS at the American Medical Association for the 2025-2026 term.
The RFS is a member interest group within the AMA to provide resident and fellow participation in the activities of the AMA and gives a voice to and advocates for issues that impact them.
Dr. Heffron is an emergency medicine resident at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She has been actively involved in organized medicine since medical school and has extensive experience in the policymaking process and related advocacy, resulting in the adoption of numerous policies impacting medicine. As a sectional delegate to the AMA House of Delegates, Dr. Heffron is endorsed by the American College of Emergency Medicine.
