2025 Interim Meeting

Hello, IMGs! It was wonderful to see so many of you at the 2025 IMGS Interim Meeting in National Harbor, Maryland. The meeting also provided meaningful opportunities to reconnect beyond the formal sessions.

Members gathered at the AMA Section Governing Council alumni reception, where we built new connections and renewed relationships with both current and former governing council leaders, further strengthening the sense of continuity and community within our section.

Our section’s business meeting was especially engaging, featuring thoughtful discussions on key issues affecting international medical graduates, along with a valuable educational session. The energy, collaboration and shared commitment to advocacy truly made this meeting remarkable.

Education session

An education session, "Status of State Laws on Additional Pathways to Licensure," presented by Kimberly Horvath, JD, was very well received and sparked an extensive discussion on the future of IMGs in the practice of medicine in the U.S.
