Siobhan Wescott, MD, MPH, serves as the chair and member at-large on the Advisory Committee on American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) Affairs at the American Medical Association.
The Advisory Committee on American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) Affairs provides guidance to the AMA Board of Trustees and AMA management on policy and advocacy initiatives impacting AI/AN medical students, physicians, and patients, while also contributing to broader AMA efforts aimed at improving health outcomes for this population.
Dr. Wescott is an endowed professor of American Indian Health at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She has spent her entire career working with AI/AN communities and has a breadth of experience in organized medicine.
