Tochi Iroku-Malize, MD, MBA, MPH

Tochi Iroku-Malize, MD, MPH, MBA, family medicine professor from New York, serves as chair-elect for the Academic Physicians Section Governing Council for 2026-2027. 

Comprising academic physician leaders in medical school, residency, and continuing medical education, the APS is an AMA member interest group focused on policies, programs and services that affect the quality of medical education and our future physician workforce. 

Dr. Iroku-Malize is a professor and chair, family medicine, at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. She is also a professor at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research.
