The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education is studying how to update and simplify its accreditation process.
The group approved five pilot programs that are focused on reducing paperwork for site visits. Data from the ACGME annual report offer a glimpse of the size and profile of the training system the group oversaw during the 2004-05 academic year.
