Repeal of the ACA Independent Payment Advisory Board

The AMA and its Federation partners successfully fought for the repeal of the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB) in February 2018. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) called for establishing the IPAB as a budgetary tool to propose mandatory cuts to Medicare with limited opportunity for Congressional input.
