Introducing the 2026 AMA Community Health Impact Lab micro grant recipients

The AMA awarded a total of $1 million in micro grants to support 20 physician-led initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes and driving lasting change in their communities.

Empowering physicians to find solutions

The AMA is excited to announce the recipients of the inaugural Community Health Impact Lab micro grants, which provide funding to 20 physician-led projects that are making a difference at the local level on critical issues like community care delivery, food is medicine, maternal health and family support, mental health and safety, and screening and risk reduction.

“The Community Health Impact Lab micro grants were designed for this moment. It gives physicians the resources to confront these community health challenges head-on—to design, lead and measure real solutions.”
