Leveraging EHR-integrated telehealth tools to support improved patient, physician and care team experience with virtual care
Nov. 2, 2021, 11 a.m.–noon Eastern
Offering technical support to patients is essential to ensure a smooth, uninterrupted, virtual care experience. However, contacting all patients in advance can be time-consuming for clinical and front desk staff and at times unnecessary for patients that are tech-savvy.
This webinar shares strategies to identify patients more likely to experience challenges accessing digital health tools and proactively target outreach efforts with the goal of promoting access to virtual care. This webinar explores EHR-integration opportunities to improve the physician and care team experience by optimizing operational workflow.

How to incorporate learners in telehealth encounters
July 26, 2021, 4–5 p.m. Eastern
The use of telehealth increased significantly over the last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and its success promises long term incorporation into health care delivery. In the physical clinical environment, the participation of students and trainees is an established part of the workflow. Such workflows are not yet established for telehealth services. It can be challenging for clinicians—who themselves are learning this new way to provide care—to juggle technology and clinical duties and maintain a teaching role.
Proper training and programmatic alignment to systematically include learners in telehealth encounters, as we would in other clinical encounters, will enable medical educators to leverage telehealth to foster competency development and assessment during clinical rotations and allow trainees to develop telehealth-specific skills.
Clinical case study: Telehealth for hypertension
July 16, 2021, Noon–1:30 p.m. Eastern
This interactive session provided participants with an overview of techniques for managing hypertension via telehealth and remote patient monitoring.
Healthcare technology & the human connection
June 24, 2021, 1–2 p.m. Eastern
Empathy and the human touch are crucial parts of caring for patients, but many fear that these core aspects that drive strong patient-physician relationships will be lost as we transition into a more digitized health care system.
This webinar explored how physicians can not only maintain that same empathy and human “touch” within a digital environment, but benefit from this mode of care delivery to improve outcomes, access and enhance experiences.
Clinical case study: Telehealth for mental/behavioral health
June 10, 2021, 11a.m.–12:30 p.m. Eastern
With an increased need for mental and behavioral health support during the COVID-19 pandemic, physicians and care teams have had to quickly adapt to implement more virtual health tools to enable timely, high-quality care to their patients.
This interactive session provided participants with an overview of opportunities and techniques for delivering integrated mental and behavioral health care via telehealth technologies.
