As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, telehealth has quickly become a more prominent aspect of clinical practice in physiatry and a fundamental part of the health care delivery system. The American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) recognizes the significant value telehealth holds in delivering and receiving care and the importance of exploring forward-thinking strategies to address the opportunities and challenges in using technology to provide services outside of traditional face-to-face health care.
Expanding on AAPM&R’s recently-released white paper, Telehealth in PM&R: Past, Present and Future in Clinical Practice and Opportunities for Translational Research, participants will have the opportunity to hear from select co-authors regarding the cutting-edge use of telehealth across various practice settings, current knowledge deficits and technological limitations, strength of available evidence, and new and transformative opportunities for PM&R to advance translational research and patient care.
This event is hosted in collaboration with AAPM&R.
In follow up to live virtual events, we will be hosting an ongoing virtual discussion thread as a way for participants to continue the conversation with panelists.
To join the discussion, sign up free on the Physician Innovation Network and we invite you to post questions and comments in the discussion thread.
