Advocacy Efforts to Ease ICD-10 Transition

Since 2003, the AMA has been in dialogue with U.S. government agencies, committees and Senate and House leaders in efforts to contribute to the direction and minimize the impact of the adoption of Revision 10 of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD). The AMA has been committed to removing the barriers and easing the disruptions that the transition from ICD-9 to ICD-10 was expected to create.
