The AMA Young Physicians Section (YPS) met virtually on Friday, Nov.13, 2020, with more than 100 physicians in attendance.
Young physicians from across the country discussed priority issues and worked on shaping American Medical Association policy. The YPS reviewed several items of business before the House of Delegates.
In addition, Richard E. Hawkins, MD, president and chief executive officer of the American Board of Medical Specialties gave an update on the status of continuing certification standards.
The AMA-YPS elected Laura Faye Gephart, MD, MBA, as chair-elect and Marc Mendelsohn, MD, MPH, as member at-large.
