Anna M. Brown, MD, MPhil, a radiation oncologist, has been elected to serve as the alternate delegate of the AMA Women Physicians Section Governing Council for the 2022-2024 term.
The WPS is a member interest group within the AMA for women physicians and medical students. The section governing council is responsible for increasing the membership, participation and leadership of women in the AMA as well as advocating on women’s health and women in medicine policy issues.
Dr. Brown completed her radiation oncology residency program at the University of Michigan, where she served as a chief resident. She is a practicing radiation oncologist in Wisconsin. Brown has previously served as the Resident and Fellow Section representative to the WPS Governing Council from 2018-2020.
