Thomas E. Sullivan, MD, a cardiologist from Beverly, Massachusetts, serves as alternate delegate on the Senior Physicians Section Governing Council at the American Medical Association.
The Senior Physicians Section (SPS), with nearly 53,000 members, is the largest senior physician group in the United States. AMA members 65 years of age and above can remain involved in their profession through the section activities.
Dr. Sullivan is past president of the Massachusetts Medical Society, and a past member and chair of the AMA's Council on Medical Service. Dr. Sullivan currently works full time for an e-prescribing software company as the chief privacy/strategic officer.
