Louise B. Andrew, MD, JD, is a delegate on the Senior Physicians Section Governing Council at the American Medical Association for the 2020-2022 term.
The Senior Physicians Section (SPS), with nearly 53,000 members, is the largest senior physician group in the United States. AMA members 65 years of age and above can remain involved in their profession through the section activities.
Dr. Andrew, one of the first BC U.S. emergency physicians now living in Sidney, British Columbia, Canada, previously served as speaker of the American College of Emergency Physicians and on the faculty at Johns Hopkins. She is a lawyer, and a longstanding leader in the well being, medical legal and international emergency medicine arenas. Her career long avocations are in physician advocacy and stress management, diversity and inclusivity, health maintenance, successful longevity, and prevention of physician suicide.
