Haidn Foster, MD, holds the position of immediate past chair of the Resident & Fellow Section Governing Council and as sectional delegate for the RFS at the American Medical Association for the 2025-2026 term.
The RFS is a member interest group within the AMA to provide resident and fellow participation in the activities of the AMA and gives a voice to and advocates for issues that impact them.
Dr. Foster served as the past chair of the Medical Student Section (MSS). He also serves as a delegate to the AMA House of Delegates as a member of the American College of Physicians (ACP) delegation. He is passionate about equitable health care delivery and has written extensive AMA policy on improving the health of sexual and gender minorities. Dr. Foster founded Pride in Practice, a 501(c)(3) public charity, to advance the state of LGBTQ+ health care by empowering providers to give excellent care for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and differences in sex development.
