Contemporary medical staff challenges: Supervising advanced practice providers

This program will address contemporary medical staff issues, with a focus on the supervisory relationship between physicians and advanced practice providers. Attendees will be provided a high-level environmental scan of challenges supervisory arrangements, legal implication, and best practices for medical staffs to employ to minimize their risks when supervising advanced practice providers.

Contribute to OMSS policymaking efforts by submitting a resolution for consideration at the November 2021 OMSS Meeting.  The resolution submission deadline is Oct. 3. Submit resolutions and direct any questions to [email protected].

Visit the OMSS online member forum between Oct. 13-26 to review and comment on policy proposals that will be discussed at the meeting. Items will be posted as they become available. The deadline to submit comments for consideration by the OMSS reference committee is Oct. 26, 2021.

OMSS representatives are selected by their medical staff peers to represent the interests and concerns of their medical staffs. While all AMA members may attend OMSS meetings, only certified representatives are permitted to make motions, vote and so forth. Become an OMSS representative today!
