Elections will be held at the Annual Meeting of the House of Delegates on June 13, 2023.
Officers and seven councils are elected by the American Medical Association House of Delegates (HOD) at the Annual Meeting. The elections are conducted during a special election session under the supervision of the Committee on Rules and Credentials and the chief teller, who are appointed by the speakers. The speaker and vice speaker are responsible for overall administration of the elections. Voting is conducted by secret ballot.

Willie was nominated by the American Urological Association and endorsed by the Medical Society of the State of New York, the American Association of Clinical Urologists, the Urology Caucus, the Specialty and Service Society, and the Section Council of Prevention Medicine.
A leader who listens
Willie is a strategic thinker who is inclusive, approachable and decisive. As executive director of the Buffalo Center for Health Equity, he worked to build a coalition to address the disparities seen in African Americans with increased infection, hospitalization and mortality rates. Willie is not afraid to speak truth to power and to stand up for what’s right for patients and the physicians who care for them. A practicing board-certified urologist and proven national leader in health policy, patient safety and quality, Willie is a dedicated servant of our House of Delegates.
