Resolutions for Comment

Dear SPS Delegation Members:

This online member forum enables senior physicians from across the US to access, review, and comment on SPS resolutions. The online member forum also gives interested senior members equal opportunity to provide testimony regardless of their ability to attend the Annual Meeting in June. Your feedback will help in determining appropriate actions at the Virtual SPS Assembly.

There are five resolutions and revised Internal Operating Procedures (IOP's) posted. We would welcome all comments, suggestions and additional relevant materials that you choose to provide. 

Resolutions:

• SPS Resolution 1 - Confronting Ageism in Medicine 
• SPS Resolution 2 - Addressing Sarcopenia and its Impact on Quality of Life
• SPS Resolution 3 - LGBTQ+ Senior Health 
• SPS Resolution 4 - Walking the Walk of Climate Change 
• SPS Resolution 5 - HPV Vaccination to Protect Healthcare Workers Over Age 45

Revised Internal Operating Procedures:

• AMA-SPS Internal Operating Procedures (IOP's) – Report
• SPS Internal Operating Procedures (IOP's) – track changes

Reports and resolutions will be developed during the Virtual SPS Assembly.  The meeting is open to all SPS members and will convene via teleconference prior to the HOD handbook deadline. A majority vote of those present via teleconference will guide the actions of the section Delegate on SPS items of business to be submitted to the AMA-HOD. 

Please register by April 26 to receive the information you'll need to call into the virtual AMA-SPS Assembly.
