Emory University School of Medicine is standardizing education in quality improvement and patient safety across the medical education continuum, including medical students, residents, fellows, faculty, affiliated physicians and interprofessional colleagues.

Need/gap addressed: Expand the number of school of medicine faculty members capable of using appropriate methods for QI, deliver the course in a way that busy clinicians can attend, provide a venue for trainees to have authentic QI experiences, build partnerships with health systems and apply QI methods to real projects.
