The AMA-convened Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement® (PCPI®) posts measure sets and guidance documents for review and comment during the 30-day public comment period. The PCPI solicits feedback from PCPI members, quality improvement collaboratives, providers, consumers, public/private purchasers and others with an interest in the measure set.
Draft NQRN report on the application of HIPAA & the Common Rule to clinical registries
The PCPI® is soliciting public comments on a draft report of the NQRN Research and Privacy Task Force, under the leadership of Anthony Asher, MD, Director, American Board of Neurological Surgery.
The Task Force has developed this report to assist registry stewards and users of information from registries with navigating the use of information from registries at the intersection of quality improvement and clinical research. The document is intended to provide a summary of current guidance on the application of HIPAA and the Common Rule to registries. Where available guidance is lacking, the Task Force has provided helpful recommendations on navigating these rules.
The 30-day comment period begins on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 and will close at 5 p.m. CT on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. Draft Cardiac Imaging
The PCPI® is soliciting public comments on draft measures for Cardiac Imaging. The measures were developed by the PCPI in collaboration with the American College of Cardiology Foundation, American Heart Association, American College of Radiology, and the National Committee for Quality Assurance.
The proposed measures focus on the safety and appropriate use of cardiac imaging.
The 30-day comment period begins on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 and will close at 5:00 PM Central time on Thursday, October 1, 2015.
