What inspired me to pursue a career in medicine: Maintaining health and combating illness require us as people to be vulnerable and trusting of others. I chose a career in medicine as a way to connect with others and help them pursue their goals.
How I move medicine: My personal mission is to transform health professions’ education so that we prepare a workforce that meets the needs of patients and populations. I move medicine by dedicating my professional career to innovation in medical education in support of this mission.

Advice I’d give to those interested in pursuing a career in medicine: Don’t pass up the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others! While stressful at times, health care is exceedingly rewarding and fulfilling. Carpe diem!
How I give back to the community: I advocate for patients and physicians by leading the transformation of medical education to better reflect the current practice of medicine.
Aspect of my work that means the most: The opportunity to influence and change the mindset of current and future physicians so that we are prepared to meet the needs of patients and populations.
My hope for the future of medicine: That we work together to bring back the joy in learning and practicing medicine.
