Alternatives to Genetic Testing

What if Rebecca decides she does not want genetic testing?
If Rebecca elects not to undergo genetic testing she is still considered high risk for breast and ovarian cancer and may wish to pursue the screening and surveillance recommended for women at high risk for breast and ovarian cancer (discussed under Test Results).


ACMG Guidelines

The American College of Medical Genetics (ACMG) has published recommended guidelines for BRCA1 and BRCA2 testing. These guidelines will be a useful reference for health care providers who counsel patients on genetic testing.
