Family History

Continuing your discussion (click here for full pedigree/family history tree), you review with Rebecca options for screening and surveillance (discussed in "Test Results") for women who are considered at high risk for developing breast and ovarian cancer.

Rebecca is fairly certain she is going to develop breast cancer and has already had her first mammogram this year at the age of 30.

She reports performing self-breast exams numerous times over the course of each month as well as having clinical breast exams every 6 months.

She tells you, "I know I'm going to get cancer. I'm just trying to find it fast. I sometimes wish it would develop so I can get it treated and go on with my life."
