Take part in AMA "Fix Medicare Now" grassroots campaign
The AMA has launched a grassroots campaign to urge Congress to reform the Medicare physician payment system. A key component of the campaign is a new interactive website, FixMedicareNow.org.
"Physicians want to work with Congress to move past this broken payment formula and toward a Medicare program that ensures access to care, the best health outcomes for patients and a sustainable practice environment for physicians," said AMA President Ardis Dee Hoven, MD.

Check out AMA resource on state licensure and liability laws
The popular resource "Senior physicians state licensure and liability laws," is available for your use on the AMA Senior Physicians Section (SPS) Web page. Because states vary in their licensure and liability laws for volunteering, the AMA-SPS provides a condensed version of states' licensing provisions and liability laws for senior physicians who wish serve as volunteers. Preview the listing online to see which state statutes apply to volunteering for your state.
