Positions available on the AMA-MSS Governing Council

If you're interested in a national leadership position with the AMA Medical Student Section (MSS), then apply for a position on the AMA-MSS Governing Council. The section is accepting applications for vice chair, delegate, alternate delegate, at-large officer, speaker and vice speaker.

The AMA-MSS Governing Council directs the programs and activities of the AMA-MSS on a national level. The deadline to apply is May 17.

Third-year students urged to apply for $10,000 scholarship

The AMA Foundation Physicians of Tomorrow Award nomination deadline is May 29. These $10,000 scholarships for rising fourth-year students are based on academic excellence, financial need and community involvement.

In addition to a general scholarship category, there are subcategories of this award for medical journalism, students attending medical school in Oklahoma and students from Chicago-area medical schools.

Students interested in applying for the Physicians of Tomorrow Award must do so through their medical school dean's office or the dean's designate.
