Run for an open seat on the AMA-YPS Governing Council
If you'd like to get more involved in organized medicine, consider running for an open seat on the AMA Young Physicians Section (YPS) Governing Council. Nominations are being accepted for chair-elect, speaker, alternate delegate and member at-large.
Terms will begin at the close of this year's Annual Meeting of the AMA House of Delegates, which will take place June 15-19. Nomination forms are due June 1. After this, nominations will be accepted only on June 14 during this year's AMA-YPS Annual Assembly Meeting.
Apply for AMA-YPS Community Service Award by April 30
Members of the AMA Young Physicians Section (YPS) are invited to submit nominations for the AMA-YPS Community Service Award. Through this award, the AMA-YPS strives to not only recognize and encourage excellence in community service, but to facilitate similar efforts by other young doctors.
Nominations are due April 30. Award recipients will be selected based on the following: positive effect on a given community or population, thoroughness of program/project planning and implementation, and completeness and comprehensiveness of the information submitted.
