For Minority Physicians
Apply for AMA-MAS Governing Council seats by Friday
The AMA Minority Affairs Section (MAS) is soliciting qualified candidates for three positions on the AMA-MAS Governing Council: National Medical Association (NMA) appointee and two at-large representatives.
For the NMA seat, the NMA will make the determination of whom it will appoint. Candidates should email Monica Carter of the NMA for more information and application instructions. The incumbent is eligible for re-appointment.
Regarding the at-large representative seats, incumbents are eligible for re-election.
Eligible candidates for each of these AMA-MAS Governing Council positions also must email an AMA-MAS nominations application, a bio-sketch form and any organizational letters of endorsement by Friday.
All terms will begin June 15 at the conclusion of the AMA Annual Meeting. For more information, email the AMA-MAS or call Abu Muhammad of the AMA at (312) 464-4335.
