Mentor students, residents and fellows via new AMA program

Young physician members of the AMA can encourage the next generation of physicians in career and leadership development through an online AMA mentorship program.

The AMA Mentorship Initiative pairs medical students, residents and fellows with young physicians for a 12-month mentorship that is designed to foster career advancement and leadership development in organized medicine.

Potential participants can express their interest by registering for the AMA Mentorship Initiative (AMA login required). For more information, visit the initiative's Web page.

Looking for CME opportunities?

The AMA and The JAMA Network offer hundreds of continuing medical education (CME) activities you can complete online at your convenience.

Activities in the AMA's online CME collection have been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ and cover subjects from patient care to physician leadership.

The JAMA Network's CME activities are searchable by topic or alongside the related journal article. Simply read the journal article and complete a brief online quiz; the system generates certificates for instant accreditation of completed activities. Topics run the gamut of clinical issues from allergy and immunology to medical informatics.
