Deadlines approaching to apply for AMA-MAS Governing Council seats

The AMA Minority Affairs Section (MAS) is soliciting qualified candidates for the following positions on the AMA-MAS Governing Council:

  • National Medical Association (NMA) appointee. The NMA will make the determination of whom it will appoint for this allotted slot. Candidates should email Monica Carter of the NMA for more information and application instructions. The incumbent is eligible for re-appointment.
  • AMA Medical Student Section (MSS) representative. Candidates should contact the AMA-MSS for more information and application instructions. Applications are due to the AMA-MSS by Thursday.
  • Two at-large representatives. Incumbents are eligible for re-election.

Eligible candidates for each of these AMA-MAS Governing Council positions also must email an AMA-MAS Nominations Application, a bio-sketch form and any organizational letters of endorsement by Feb. 26.
