Apply for leadership slots on AMA councils, committees
The AMA is looking to fill open positions on various councils and committees for 2013. Nominations are due by March 15. Visit the AMA's Council and Committee Nominations Web page to view available positions as well as instructions on the nominations process.
The AMA is committed to promoting diversity in every facet of organized medicine and encourages the nomination of qualified women physicians, minority physicians and international medical graduates for AMA positions on councils.
Apply for clinical scholars program
Physicians interested in conducting innovative research and working with communities, organizations, practitioners and policymakers to address issues essential to the health and well-being of all Americans are invited to apply to become a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) Clinical Scholars.
To be eligible, physicians must be committed to a career in academic medicine, public health, health policy or another career congruent with the program's purposes and priorities of developing physician leaders and skilled researchers. Applications are due Feb. 28. Application details are online.
