For Minority Physicians
Cast your vote in the AMA-MAS Governing Council election
The AMA Minority Affairs Section (MAS) urges all of its members to vote in its ongoing Governing Council election, which runs through April 15.
Two at-large members will be elected from nominations submitted to the AMA-MAS. Elected members each will serve a three-year term. In addition, one AMA Medical Student Section (MSS) representative will serve a one-year term, nominated by the AMA-MSS and elected by the AMA-MAS membership.
The National Medical Association (NMA) has appointed Leonard Weather, Jr., MD, to serve as the NMA representative on the governing council.
If you are not an AMA-MAS member, call (800) 262-3211 to join or renew your AMA membership. Then sign up for a complimentary AMA-MAS membership. Only AMA-MAS members will receive the encrypted ballot and a reminder email during the election period, which concludes at midnight Central time April 15.
If you have questions about the election, contact Cynthia Norwood of the AMA via email or at (312) 464-4743.
