Debt load remains high for medical school graduates

Medical education debt continues to burden medical students and medical school graduates, according to a recent American Medical News story. Allopathic students graduate with an average debt level of $162,000, according to the latest data from the Association of American Medical Colleges.

Reducing medical student debt is a priority for the AMA, which continues to advocate on this issue and encourage innovations to reduce debt levels.
