AMA-IMG Section Virtual Congress open for policy approvals
Members of the AMA International Medical Graduates (IMG) Section are invited to provide their approvals on proposed AMA policy resolutions being considered for the Interim Meeting of the AMA House of Delegates during the section's Virtual Congress until Oct. 29.
Details on accessing the Virtual Congress are in an email invitation sent to all AMA-IMG Section members; those who have not received that email should
contact the section.
Interim Meeting session to provide public speaking tips
If you're attending this year's AMA International Medical Graduates (IMG) Section Interim Assembly Meeting, Nov. 9–12 in Honolulu, then plan to participate in the Busharat Ahmad, MD, Leadership Development Program, which will take place Nov. 11. Keynote speaker Mike Lynch, the AMA's vice president of external communications, will provide best practices on public speaking skills.
Busharat "Bush" Ahmad, MD, is one of the most well-known and respected international medical graduates in the United States. A strong advocate for IMGs, Dr. Ahmad is a pioneering leader whose tireless efforts resulted in the formation of the AMA-IMG Section in 1997. This leadership development program commemorates his continued leadership and commitment to organized medicine.
The AMA-IMG Section meeting will take place in conjunction with the Interim Meeting of the AMA House of Delegates. Register today (AMA login required) for the AMA-IMG Section meeting.
