Webinar to show how to save time on patient payment
Find out how you can streamline patient payment without increasing costs by participating in part one of a two-part AMA webinar at 1:30 p.m. Eastern time Thursday.
Part one of "Helping your patients understand financial responsibility at the time of service" will show you how to make the most of the information that is available from electronic eligibility verification to provide point-of-care pricing. Part two will take place Nov. 29.
Also, be sure to access the AMA "Heal the Claims Process"™ campaign toolkit to help you obtain payment from patients at the time of service. It includes the resource, "Helping your patients understand their payment responsibilities."
And if you haven't already, sign the campaign pledge to demonstrate your commitment to claims processing efficiencies.
Comment on performance measures white paper
Share your thoughts about a white paper that looks at standards for evaluating patient-reported outcome (PRO)-based performance measures. Comments are due via an online survey by 6 p.m. Eastern time Nov. 20.
Developed by the AMA-convened Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement® (PCPI®), the white paper identifies five purposes for which PROs are used in performance evaluation and recommends 13 methodological standards. The findings reveal that understanding the patient perspective is an essential component of performance evaluation. However, the authors note that rigorous measurement strategies should be employed to ensure that lessons learned are valid, feasible, actionable and meaningful to decision-makers.
